Friendly resort near Lake Como, ideal for school groups

Aprica is a friendly resort located near to Lake Como in Valtellina. It is a linear village spread along the valley with nursery slopes at village and on higher slopes. Aprica offers excellent skiing for school groups together with a variety of activities that include skating, swimming, bowling in Sondrio, pizzerias and plenty of shops and cafes to enjoy off the slopes.

The village has an excellent snow record opening from early December to late April each winter. The beginner slopes are close to the village, wide and uncrowded for early lessons with more challenging blue runs higher up as ability improves. Intermediates and advanced skiers are spoilt for choice with long reds, including World Cup pistes and some tricky blacks. There is a new 4 person-hooded chairlift that now links the 3 main areas of the Magnolta, The Palabione and Baradello.

An excellent choice for school skiing.

Hotel Cristallo

3 Star

The Hotel Cristallo is located at the entrance to the village just 250m from the Baradello lift and approximately 1km from the Palablione gondola and nursery slopes. The hotel has recently been  refurbished and there are 51 rooms for 2-4 persons which are all en-suite with telephone and TV. Meals are taken in the spacious dining room and comprise a buffet style breakfast, a simple hot lunch and a 3-course dinner with salad bar. For relaxation there is a comfortable lounge, cosy sitting room with open fire, entertainment room, meeting/games room and a bar to enjoy.

Hotel St Martin

3 Star

The Hotel St Martin is located in the centre of the village, close to the lifts and offers recently refurbished accommodation with rooms for 2-4 persons, all with private faciities, TV and telephone. The restaurant is excellent  and provides a buffet style breakfast, hot lunch and 3-course dinner with salad bar.

For relaxation off the slopes there is a bar, games room with video games and table football, a lounge, and TV room that can be used for meetings and activities. The hotel capacity is 100.

Hotel Bozzi

3 Star

The Hotel Bozzi is a family run, friendly hotel that has the added advantage of being just 50m from the Palabione Gondola with the possibility to ski back to the door, conditions permitting!

Located a short walk from the village centre in a quiet position, the hotel can accommodate 175 persons and so is ideal for large groups or for just two group occupancy. Rooms are for 2-5 persons and all have private facilities. Meals are taken in a large and airy dining room and comprise a buffet breakfast, hot lunch or packed lunch as required, and a 3-course dinner with salad bar.  Facilities include a lovely lounge with welcoming fireplace and pool table together with a cafe-bar for socialising after a days skiing.

The hotel Bozzi offers a comfortable standard of hotel and makes an ideal accommodation for a school group in this popular resort.
