Venice
We have carefully chosen this destination for the atmosphere, tradition and variety of learning opportunities that it has to offer. The itinerary is flexible but provides an insight into local food culture and tradition. From our base in Lido di Jesolo, there are numerous locations to enhance food knowledge, together with other places that are just interesting to visit.
The beautiful city of Venice provides the backdrop, steeped in history and the perfect way to begin a tour. During the course of the tour there will be the opportunity to visit the historic city itself, Rialto market, a local cantina and a theme park for the day.
Excursions
Day 1: Arrive in Lido di Jesolo by coach or plane. It may be possible to do a local activity depending upon arrival time.
Day 2: Visit to Venice. Take the boat to St Marks and then a guided walk to the Rialto Bridge food and fish market. Free time pm.
Day 3: A day at a theme park - Aqualandia or Gardaland according to weather and time of year. Evening meal out in a local Pizzeria.
Day 4: Visit a local market and then continue to an Agroturismo Farm for a short talk about the farm and diversification, followed by lunch. Two afternoon cookery demonstrations. Eve: Quiz
Day 5: A morning spent making, and eating, pizza! Optional visit to a local cheese factory and then visit a local vineyard. Return to see cake decoration which is dessert that evening.
Day 6: Amorniing for relaxation and shopping. Depart for the UK after lunch.
This itinerary is entirely flexible; it can be any duration and the content designed to reflect the emphasis of the group leader.
